Tudors-Good or Icky?

Okay so they just added the Tudors to my OnDemand and its free. And I am a sucker for all things free. So I just wanted to know if anyone else has seen it and if they liked it or not. I'm really into history that most people think is boring so that part is not a problem.

idk, but I love Jonathan Rhys Meyers. I'm pretty sure he is in it.

i watched the first four episodes and all i see is jonathon having sex with all the girls possible.
and how the girls get pregnant with his children.
i just don't like it.

I watched about two episodes when it was on TV and I couldn't stomach it.The acting was cringeworthy and there was nothing to the plot other than sex, sex, sex, sex, religion , sex, sex and sex.

OOO i loved the tudors! mostly because i like history and that time period but when i found out that johnathon meyers and henry cavilli...oooo yea. even better.

I am a PROUD fan of the Tudors. What's the big deal about having sex in a TV show? People do it! lol

Not to mention Henry Cavill has a sexy Queen's English accent and I love the sets and the costumes and the music. I love it all.

Thanks guys. Yeah Jonathon Rhys Meyers was the main reason I was even considering it. I'm think I won't just because I don't really have a lot of time. Time is better spent on Guitar Hero. Okay maybe not but it's fun.

What are we explaining?

haha, i like the tudors a lot. i've only watched it a few times, but i know a lot about that time period. in choir we're singing a song from a poem that was written by queen mary of scotts, its so beautiful

I kind of like it. I don't like Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn, nor JRM as Henry VIII. It's really historically incorrect and it drives me bananas. The times things happened are all screwy. I just watch for the costumes, which are fantastic. As for the sex, well, it's a Showtime show...what can you expect?

I really don't like the Tudors... I tried watching it when it first came out becuase it seemed really interesting but i couldn't get past the fact the only thing that they ever showed was graphic sex scenes.
