Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty—especially if they learn of her Sight—and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.

Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost—regardless of her plans or desires.

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.
Faerie intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning 21st century faery tale.

Okay, I started reading this today and I realized there's a lot of similar things about Twilight ! The Summer King, Kennan, come on, NINE CENTURIES. Familiar, in a way? Also, he's this irresistable thing and all the girls notice him and everything. Familiar? Oh yeah, he's one of those mythical creatures. Familiar? XD L0L

And there's that Seth guy. He''s a lot like Jacob, but less too. Because Seth is Aislinn's best friend and they're reaaaaally attracted to each other! And he's always protecting her and all that. Which is verryyyy cute(:

It's just one of those books that I was "Awww!"--ing a lot. Hahaha. Well, yeah, I recommend this! (:

You do know that this is becoming a series right?

I don't know if you've gotten to the end yet so I wont ruin anything for you. I'll just say that I am glad that it's a series and not just one book - I didn't like the ending Razz

If you really want a series that's VERY similar to Twilight - go pick up The Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith. Those books were written in the mid 90's I want to say - but when I was reading that series I found myself wondering if Stephenie Meyer had used it as inspiration for Twilight (They really are that similar)

I read this, and I did enjoy it but I thought that it was a little...simplistic.

The plot was good, but there was very little beneath the surface. It was a good book with a good storyline but not much else going on. A good read, but not a series I'll follow.

Wicked lovely is just wicked lovely. Loved it. Though the ending was a little off. And a few days after I read it, I was passing a house that had an iron-like gate and thought "There must not be a lot of faeries around there."
