Thanks for the compliments on my essay Very Happy I've been holding that in for awhile but felt like it was too much to get all out.

I don't full out hate Jake. I guess I understand what he was trying to do but I disagree completely with the way he went about it, so it prevents me from seeing his actions as a noble act, trying to save Bella. Some people find his immaturity charming, while I can stand it. I don't want him to die, I'm not a hater, but I def don't approve of his relationship with Bella. I just can't get past his tactics.


Oh! And I'm not trying to disrespect Jacob lovers or anything. Just stating my opinion so you see where I'm coming from and I'd be more than happy to hear your opinions whether you agree with me or not. But lets not make personal attacks on each other! Jacob lovers have the right to be Jacob lovers just as much as Edward lovers do. RESPECT! Debate, but don't hate!

I agree Ann. Like someone said, I can't remember if it was on here or a few podcasts back, Jake is a real teenager, while Edward is technically over 100 years old. He isn't perfect,patient, laid back and mature like Edward is, he is silly, fun, hyper, and slightly immature, yet with a serious side, like most of the normal 16/17 year old guys that exist.

But on the same side of the tolken, not all teenaged boys are like that, and they're typically not my type. haha Maybe that's why I don't like him as much as Edward, I don't go for the silly and hyper type. Food for thought?

I guess it's just sad that no one can really see that Edward may be 100 years old, but there are boys out there like him - trust me on this one. I completely agree that because Jacob's tendency to be brash and not think things through does make him more of a teenager to us, but because he's decided to throw himself into the same league with Edward- I guess I expect more from him than what he has put on the table. Does that make sense?

I suppose it's just that Edward and jacob are on the complete opposite ends of the spectrum, neither are really in the middle. Edward is more old fashioned, reserved, patient, ec. While Jacob is brash, immature, and persistent. They really are polar opposites.
Where does Bella fall on the spectum? No one knows, because Bella is weird.
