Isn't what Jake is doing to Bella slightly similar to what Bella is doing to Edward?

Jake is pressuring Bella into doing things she doesn't really want to do- kiss him, be with him, etc.

BUT...

Bella is trying to pressure Edward into going past his limits in the physical aspects.

So, I know many of you will say "its different," but in many aspects I don't really believe it is. Edward wants to save his "virtue" as he likes to call it until marriage, yet Bella is constantly trying to push those boundaries he sets up. Just like Bella wants to be friends with Jake, but Jake is trying to push those boundaries further.

If you recall, in the last chapter [before the epilogue] in Eclipse, Edward says that he doesn't care and that he'll do it her way. They actually start to get it on [*cough*] but Bella changes her mind. I see where you're coming from, but Bella and Edward are an actual couple, where as Jake isn't with Bella at all. Just friends.

Maybe the difference is Edward finally gave in. :]

But I see where you are coming from with the couple thing, thats why I just said slightly, because I know its nowhere near the same situation.

I really don't think it's the same because Bella doesn't feel the same way about Jacob that Edward feels towards Bella.
And they are refusing b/c of different reason. Bella refuses Jake b/c she isn't with him. And Edward only refuses Bella because he is trying to protect her.
I can see how you might see a similarity but i think they are two completely different scenarios.
