Actually Edward stayed really freaking calm considering there was another guy wrapped in a sleeping bag with his fiancee, and he could hear every inappropriate thought that was running through his head. I have no idea how he didn't freak out, instead he answered all of Jacob's questions and was civil. Edward is amazing!

But I still love Jacob more. Edwards had like 90 years to perfect his patience. And plus, he is dating Bella. You have to have some patience there, haha. Especially since he can't read her mind.

And Jacob has patience and self control too! He can stay in human form when vampires are around, and he learned how to phase quickly.

With Edward we know he has been around for along time, which helps with patience and such.

srry, but YEAH, RIGHT Shocked

!!!!! this was my favorite scene in the book because you got to see into Edwards head a little. but jake is SO not the gentleman. at least, he wishes! he wants bella, but he's no good for her.and, edward has a less chance of hurting B. Sam had great self-control when he hurt emily, he just lost it that one time, and once is all it takes. Edward has had 108 years to pefect his self-control for that side of his nature.he's safer for B.

At least he says so. Edward could just as soon lose it and kill Bella like that. At least Emily just got a little deformed, as opposed to completely dead.

I don't think Jake is all that dangerous now. He is obviously very talented at phasing and he controls his temper pretty well. Bella isn't exactly safe with anyone. I think Bella is in just as much danger around Jasper as she was around Paul or Embry. Both sides try to play up the danger of the other since they're born to kill each other.

that scene just made me love Jacob (and Edward) even more. I love how they both showed how much they cared about Bella.... and i love how annoyed Edward got... lol...

I love Edward, but it was a bit funny seeing him get so irritated with Jacob (probably because I was irritated with him too, but couldn't help laughing anyway).
A lot of you guys were complimenting Edward for keeping his cool the whole time. But remember, he did let some of his frustration out of Jacob the following morning...First he rolled him out of the sleeping bag onto the cold ground, then threw him across the tent when he accidently rolled over on Bella. So even with 100+ years of practicing patience, Edward still can be petty sometimes. Laughing
