I know I'm coming into this conversation a bit late, but we have to remember that in the tent at the time Jacob was completely and totally rubbing it in Edward's face that he was the one who was able to warm her and keep her alive and [at least as much as she ever is] sane at the time. Poor Edward had to curl up in the corner and try not to breathe on her as to not freeze her. :/

I know! Poor guy couldn't do anything to help and had to sit by and watch the fantasies of the guy who's sharing a sleeping bag with his girlfriend. That would suck!

I think after all jacob did that night edward was justifed in rolling him out of the sleeping bag. He overracted by trying to attack him but other than that he showed great patience. I think jacob is just as much a threat. Emily may not have died but she easily could have died from sam's attack. Edward has had a lot more patience to contorl his nature and more time around bella with his dangeous nature than jacob has.

This is true. and in Breaking Dawn I suppose we'll see just how patient Edward has become. Razz

Though the odds on that are incredibly slim.

This is one of my favourite scenes in the book. I love the conversation between Edward and Jacob, and I'd like to see something along the same lines in BD, though I very much doubt that it will happen.

Probably not, it's time for them to duke it out. Most likely not literally, but you know what I mean. I loved the heart to heart they had in the tent, it was nice. Ice and Fire.

Yeah, I loved the dialouge! So interesting! But, yeah, I don't think they're gonna be that civil to each other for awhile. All the drama that went down after that scene was probably a little too much for both of them!
