| This whole thing is somewhat reminding me of how Spunk Ransom's MySpace was let out by the Lexicon with only his manager's permission, and not his, and how he went on to delete said MySpace.

| ok so here is what i think.. i think she is sending a horrible message to her fans "when someone stabs you in the back... run away and hide and mope" that is is not true.. when Bella thought she was too late to save edward from stepping into the sun did she give up? no
when alice thought Bella was dead did she give up? no
When Jacob thought bella was lost to edward forever did he give up? no
the message Stephenie is sending in her books and in her own words are completely opposite.. Her books teach perserverence and love... the fact that she is letting this get her so down.. makes me think less of stephenie.. she needs to be strong and know that her fans still love her and dont blame her... whether she likes it or not she IS a role model to a lot of young people and with the message on her website she let me down

| I agree with what most of you said about her over reacting. I think its kinda unfair that pretty much the entire fandom is being punished and suffering because of one person's, possibly accidental, leak. I mean, honestly, we ALREADY know how the story ends, so its not like there's some huge spoilers being released, its just insight to a character. Saying that she's gonna let James win if she does write it is extremely childish. Yes, it sucks really really bad that this happened to her, but c'mon, don't roll over and die. And I know she always says that she writes these books just for herself, but she has to realize that these books are too big for her to say that anymore, there are millions of people waiting for this. Things get leaked all the time. Breaking Dawn was on the net weeks before the release, as is the movie script. I mean, JK Rowling had the biggest spoiler of all time leaked from HBP, and she didn't refuse to write DH or end up killing everyone just to spite whoever wronged her. (Or maybe that's the real reason why DH was such a bloodbath!)
I'm just pissed that I deliberately avoided the MS spoilers and now they're being handed to me with a "this is all you get" attitude. Her approach is just rubbing me the wrong way. And I still haven't read it, not sure if I ever will...
I hope she can get past this soon! I know it must suck for her.

| Ann, i totally agree with you, the books have become larger than her, larger than anyone can imagine, and it almost isn't even up to SM anymore.... twilight has taken on a mind of its own, and her attitude doesn't reflect that she's grasped that.... however i will reaffirm what i said before and say it again...
i do truly believe that she just needs time to calm down... i think she will realize what we all have already realized and i sincerely hope that she will finish it... sometimes i just get a feeling about things, and i have a feeling that all of this will turn out for the best, but hey, i'm no alice
