How many people have you converted to read Twilight?

I first read it back in October 2006, and as soon as I had I tried to convince my online friends to read it (I succeeded with three of them)...then I got started on the people on my HP forum that hadn't read it (I think most of them over there are Twilight fans...it's like a disease Very Happy

)

I got a few of my RL friends to read it but they weren't blown away. I got my Mum and both my sisters to read it - they both love the series, and then my youngest sister passed my book around her circle of friends (my copy of Twilight is in a pretty bad state now).

Most recently I convinced a complete stranger to read them! I was in Borders the other day at the bestsellers table, and there was a girl standing there reading the back of Twilight and New Moon. She looked like she was deliberating to buy, but then she put the books down. I couldn't help myself - I had to tell her how amazing this series was. I'm not sure if she thought I was crazy or what, but she did take the books in the direction of the tills- success!

My next target is my cousin... Very Happy

Amy and the other members of HE are the reason why I picked up the series Very Happy

So I'm one person on Amy's conversion list.

I have converted, let me see here... I talked about them so much I got my mom and my sister to read them. I talked one of my best friends into reading them and now she's just as obsessed as I am about them. And we collectively talked a couple of the ladies I used to work with into reading them. I made my old roommate read them, and then they were hooked. I don't think it was completely me, but I'd like to think that I had something to do with Emmalynn reading them Wink

I think I'm going to target anyone who looks like a reader at my next job as well. It does after all make my day go by much faster when I have someone to sit around in come up with crazy theories with.

I didn't technically "convert" Anna to reading Twilight but I was really persistant to getting her to read them. Like, whenever she would put the book down I would be like "KEEP READING!!"
Then I got my other younger sister to read them. I got two of my best friends to read them.

my sister, my mom, five friends, merely influenced another friend, and my older sister's gonna read it this summer when she has more time (her classes will be over) and then I will possibly be influencing the conversion of my older sister's other sister (since technically we're half sisters she has another sister that's her mom's kid but not my mom's kid) and she's not much of a reader, I've heard, so that should be a good feat. so that brings me up to a total of 7 by the end of the summer if you count the influencing!

I converted five people, and had a hand in forcibly making one of my other friends read it. Currently I'm trying to convince my mum and a friend to read it (they don't like vampires), and one of my friends who won't read it on principle (Ihaven't yet quite understood that principle, but it's the same principle that she works with when not reading Harry Potter)

Well, I've gotten 3 to read it - 2 that are still reading Twilight, and 1 that is almost done with Eclipse - and none of them are Twi-Hards!!!!! One (E) just reads them for fun, and my cousim in Wisconsin only reads the book for a total of, like, 15 minutes A WEEK!!!! My friend, Duff, though, I think might turn onto our side (the pwn side) ((the Twi-Hard side)), because with her knowlege of Bellward, Bella just told Eddie that she thinks he regrets saveing her life, and she's, like, "Oh my God (she hasn't learned to say "Oh my Carweasle!" yet, but she will!)!!!! This book is puckin awesome!!!" And I'm like "Thank you, thank you." And she's like "Why should I thank you??? I should thank Stephenie Meyer!!" And I'm all like "Yeah, but she didn't show you the books in the first place, now did she?" And she's like "No, but if she didn't write 'em, you wouldn't of been able to lend me Twilight!!!! (I lent her my torn-up sad-looking paper-back. Are you INSANE?!?!?! I just got my hard-cover.) *gaspes for breath* So, yeah. a) I lost that "fight", and b) I'm not totally sure Duff'll turn into us (which is a very good thing, BTW, because I'm the biggest Twi-Hard in my school, and I'm kinda lonely...), but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I've gotten 6 people to read it them to date. This girl that borrowed the book had it for a couple weeks and was reading it really slowly, and I asked how she liked it. She said that she thought it was alright, but nothing that special. I saw how far she was in the book (which was about 1/4 of the way through) and I knew that the next day a huge chunk of it would be read because it was getting to such a good part. I came back the next day and she had finished it and was begging me for the next one. It usually goes that way for everyone.

I can proudly say that I MADE my friend buy Twilight today. I haven't ever gotten a single one of my friends to read these books, but I literally had to pick the thing up 3 times and keep putting it in her hands.

Hopefully she'll convert.

I write reviews for a website called Ciao (it's like a consumer comparison site). Earlier I wrote one for Eclipse, and most of the comments I got on the review were telling me that they liked the sound of the book and were going to check out the series.

So yay, I've possibly converted more strangers to Twilight Very Happy

I've converted 2 so far...my sister and my Mom. My sis finished twilight a few weeks ago and loved it. She's now an Edward fan-girl. Cool

My mom is currently reading it. She's just finished the meadow scene. She kinda likes Edward, but thinks he's creepy, lol. She also thinks Bella is a bit crazy for being in love with a guy that confessed his desire to kill her. *Sigh* She just doesn't quite understand Edward. My sister was in love with him by this point, and so was I when I read it. Maybe we're just weird, lol!
Unfortunately, it's going to be a while before either of them read New Moon or Breaking Dawn because I have both books with me and I am away at school.

hmm .. i guess about 4. i'm trying to get my teachers to read it, my mom to read it, and all the guys to read it. Hahaha. It's a tough quest .. nobody likes to read at my school XD
